The Cement Association of Canada will be hosting a free learning event titled: “Precast Concrete for a Lower Carbon Future: An update from Industry Experts”, alongside the Canadian Precast Concrete Institute and the Canadian Concrete Pipe and Precast Association in Vancouver.

Learning objectives include:

• Understand the definitions of GHGs, embodied carbon, and EPDs.
• Find, interpret, and utilize concrete precast and pipe EPDs.
• Recognize the key reduction levers accessible through designing in concrete precast and pipe and how to specify them in projects.
• Understand the differences and advantages of off-site construction using precast.
