Many industries are shifting to more sustainable production and implementation processes. This panel discussion will consider public procurement as a powerful tool to help jurisdictions meet GHG reduction targets and deliver instructure in a more environmentally responsible manner. Considerations included embodied carbon, lifecycle cost analysis, lifecycle assessment, and other metrics that impact overall environmental performance. Industry has an important role to play in working with government policy makers to update legislation and policy allowing industry innovation and greener procurement.
